Clarification: We are a private, third-party provider of vehicle history checks. We are not affiliated with the UK Government, DVLA, police, insurers, finance companies, or any official “HPI Check” provider. “HPI” may be a trade mark of its respective owner; any references are descriptive only.
Our website offers a subscription-based service providing access to premium features and/or a set number of checks per billing period. From time to time, we may offer an introductory Trial at the price shown at checkout (the “Trial Price” ) for the period shown at checkout (the “Trial Period” ). By subscribing (including starting a Trial), you agree to these Terms and to the information shown on the subscription page at the time of sign-up.
6.1. Subscription Plans. We offer various plans with different levels of access. Plan details and any usage limits are shown on our subscription page and/or checkout. Unused allowances do not roll over unless expressly stated.
6.2. Billing. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (typically monthly) from the date your paid subscription starts or converts.

Trials
6.6. Trial Offer & Eligibility. Trials are available as advertised on the subscription page. Unless stated otherwise, Trials are for new customers only, one per person/company, non-transferable, and may not be combined with other offers.
6.7. Trial Start & End. The Trial starts when you complete sign-up and ends at the exact date/time shown at purchase and on your account page (the “Trial End”).

6.9. Auto-Conversion After Trial. Unless you cancel before the Trial End, your subscription continues automatically at the Membership Price and billing interval shown at checkout. Your first Membership charge occurs at the Trial End and recurs each billing cycle until cancelled.
6.10. Cancelling During the Trial. You can cancel anytime during the Trial from your account page or by emailing support@hpichecks.com. If you cancel before the Trial End, you won’t be charged the Membership Price and you’ll retain access until the Trial expires.
6.11. Trial Limits & Fair Use. Trials may include reduced usage limits or features versus paid plans; any limits are shown at sign-up. We may suspend or terminate a Trial for suspected abuse (e.g., creating multiple accounts to obtain repeated Trials).
6.12. Consumer Rights. Nothing in this section affects any non-waivable consumer rights that apply in your country. Details are provided at checkout and on your account page.
We also offer one-time vehicle history checks for users who prefer not to subscribe.
Refund Policy for One-Time Payments: Once a report has been generated and delivered (including on-screen or via link/email), the service has been fulfilled and no refund will be issued, except where we fail to provide the report due to our error and cannot reasonably remedy it.
Terms for One-Time Payments: By making a one-time purchase, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the payment is non-refundable once the service is rendered.
8.1. Fair Use: Our services are intended for personal, non-commercial use. Excessive usage beyond what is reasonably expected for your plan may result in additional charges, rate-limiting, suspension, or termination.
8.2. Premium Services: If you utilise a premium service (e.g., a data-rich report) and it has been completed, no refund will be issued for that service.

We strive for accuracy but rely on third-party data sources that may be delayed, incomplete, or contain errors. Reports are provided “as is” for information only and do not constitute legal, financial, or mechanical advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of our services. Our total liability for any claims under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific one-time report or, for subscriptions, the fees paid in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales (consumers in the UK/EU may also benefit from mandatory local consumer protections).
